Radio Pharmaceuticals

The transport of radioactive material as regulated by the IAEA is to protect persons, property and the environment from the effects of radiation. Hazmat Logistics Ltd has fully trained staff to handle radioactive material for all modes of transport - air, road and sea and has a comprehensive radiation protection programme. Hazmat Logistics Ltd also has two RPS (Radiation Protection Supervisors) qualified persons on site at all times. We currently deliver radio pharmaceutical supplies on behalf of commercial manufacturers to hospitals and private healthcare facilities worldwide.

Diagnostic Specimens

Hazmat Logistics Ltd are able to distinguish on behalf the customer, when a sample containing a biological substance, can be classified and shipped as a ‘diagnostic’ or ‘clinical’ specimen under the newly changed criteria recently published. Dry Ice                  

Through years of research and experimentation with dry ice, with the aim of understanding it’s properties, we have been able to accurately advise customers on what quantity should be used for each shipping destination, and exactly how the consignment should be stored at each stage during transit.

We always ensure that throughout the door-to-door shipping chain, dry ice consignments are regularly replenished to the optimum level required to ensure delivery of samples in a perfect condition. The replenishment of dry ice consignments is normally free of charge and included as part of out service.

Infectious Substances

Since the recent upgrade in transport category of infectious substances under the European International ADR Road Transportation Agreement, it is now a legal requirement that a trained driver and placarded vehicle with relevant transport documentation, is used when during collection and delivery. Hazmat Logistics Ltd are able to provide such specialised road transportation, whether its overnight, same day or into Continental Europe.

Aircraft on Ground - AOG

Hazmat Logistics Ltd currently operates on a 24 hours a day basis, which allows us to collect and deliver urgent aircraft spares throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world around the clock. Shipments of this nature commonly consist of aircraft spares such as Life Rafts/Jackets, Aircraft Escape Slides, Fire Extinguishers, Aircraft Wheels and Explosive Cartridge Power Devices for grounded aircrafts.

Halted Production Lines

Dangerous goods are used extensively throughout all industries globally, from food - to paint, from medical – to fuel, from chemical – to pharmaceutical.  Production lines are costly when they are not in operation, Hazmat Logistics Ltd will deliver urgent consignments to production lines worldwide on a ‘just-in-time’ basis, to ensure these lines are not delayed furthermore creating a financial implication upon the recipient.
